Who We Are

A Home for Every Young Person in Fairfield County

The Fairfield County LGBTQ+ Youth Alliance (FCYA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting safe spaces, building community, and advocating for the rights and well-being of LGBTQ+ youth ages 13–24 across Fairfield County, Connecticut.

Founded in 2025, we believe that every young person — regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity — deserves access to affirming support, meaningful connections, and a community that celebrates who they are.

We work alongside schools, families, healthcare providers, and community partners to build a county where LGBTQ+ youth can thrive.

What Drives Us

Mission, Vision & Values

"To empower, support, and advocate for LGBTQ+ youth in Fairfield County by building affirming communities, providing essential resources, and fostering belonging for every young person."

🏳️‍🌈

Inclusion

We affirm every identity — gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, nonbinary, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual, and beyond.

🛡️

Safety

Every program and support space we connect youth with is designed to be physically and emotionally safe for all youth who walk through our doors.

🤝

Community

Connection is lifesaving. We build genuine relationships between youth, families, and community partners across the county.

📢

Advocacy

We show up in schools, town halls, and statehouses to fight for policies that protect and affirm LGBTQ+ youth.

💡

We provide youth with the knowledge and tools to understand their rights, explore their identities, and advocate for themselves and their communities.
